Ideals Are Not Fluffy
4/6/2011
I feel that I am beginning to progress in my aim of creating a new appreciation for open and collaborative learning. I am finding that the willingness to stand out on the ledge alone must be apart of a person's toolbox if true innovation is desired.
There is something deeply personal about helping people grow in new ways. I believe that to do the job a person had better be legit in how they conduct themselves. Remember... Nonaka stressed the importance of IDEALS in the creation of new knowledge.
Well...ideals are only true ideals if a person is willing to look like a complete idiot in ascribing to them. Ideals are not "fluffy"constructs.
Ideals form the basis of human action and contextualization. Ideals add structure to a person's life as they navigate through difficulties to arrive at prosperity. i know that this is easy to say... harder to do!
-What ideals do you live up to?
-How do you maintain focus?
