People Need People To Be Smart
I was listening to a lecture the other day and the speaker made the statement that a person cannot maintain expertise for long without other people. I thought this was a great point. Growing in knowledge has always seemed to be portrayed as a singular activity.
But what this speaker was saying is that through others we receive a lot of current information and insight. Knowledge will deteriorate without this steady flow. It's like a body of water stagnating without replenishment. PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE TO BE SMART.
-Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
